My Husband and I have a 2004 V6 Passat. He looked in the manuel and it said that the cars needs only 4.6 quarts of oil. Well he changed the oil and did as the manuel said and he put in 4.6 quarts. Well he just got off the phone with Volkswagen and they are telling him 6. I would like to know what other people are putting into thier cars in refernce to quarts. Any help would be great. I tried to fine the info online but am unable to locate.

 

Right at 6 quarts for my 03 v6 passat. Check the dipstick and see if it is low......also, sometimes the manuels dont include changing the oil filter which will require more oil to be added, it is just drain and fill.
