Hi there,

I have a 2000 passat, 1.8 manual tranny. it has 100K on it and runs beautifully. Check engine light with emissions workshop has been going off for months. My mechanic replaced both oxygen sensors and the mass air flow meter. Light is still coming on but car drives perfect. He is baffled and is telling me to go to the dealer. Has anyone had this issue and is it wortj going to the dealer? My mechanic says the computer is still coding that the mass air flow meter is the problem but we have a brand new one in already and he even put in another brand new air flow meter just to rule out a defective unit and the light still comes on. Any ideas?
