1999 Passat V6 timing belt

Default 1999 Passat V6 timing belt
I recently bought a 99' V6 Passat with 93K miles. It didnt have any service records but is in really good shape, looks like it has been taken care of. Ihave concerns after all I have heard abouth the timing belt, water pump, and pullies. So I guess Im wondering if there is a way to check and see the condition of the timing belt myself? Another question I have is does anyone know whatthe mileage schedule is to change it on the 2.8l V6?
