14 brake booster check valve

Im working on a 14 Passat with a 2.5 trying to replace the brake booster check valve. The new one in the picture at the top was purchased from a local parts store but it doesnt look like the OEM one in the bottom picture. Will it still work?

Also, how do I remove the vacuum hose from the OEM check valve in the right picture. I can twist the valve in the hose but I cant pull it out. Thanks!
