Hey... Noob here. My girlfriend has an 04 Passat with the 1.8T engine. Her low/high beams work fine, but her driver's side Daytime running light doesn't work. All I can tell about it is that it's a Hella. Visually... its inside a curved glass lens. I don't know if the entire curved lens must be ordered or if there's a bulb that I can order. I checked the owner's manual and there's nothing in it about the light bulb specs.
That's only half the battle (which SHOLDN'T be a battle at all). Once I find out if I need a replacement bulb, or an entire light unit, then I have to figure out how in the he!! to go the old one OUT. Any help here on either of these subjects? I really appreciate it. I know my way around a vehicle pretty well and do most of my own work on my Dodge, but these VW's are a do-it-yourselfer's nightmare.
