I have a customer who has a 2001 Volkswagen Passat 6 Cyl. H 2.8L SFI DOHC that has no spark, no fuel pressure and the starter just clicks.

The customer first just told me that he needed a new starter installed and I asked him what was the vehicle doing and he said the starter just clicks and doesn't turn over. I purchased the starter and installed it and it did the same thing. I took off the new starter and installed the old one. Tested to see if there was spark and there wasn't. No volts even going to the coils. I checked the fuel pressure and there wasn't no pressure at all.

So, I have this VW that has no spark, no fuel pressure, starter just clicks.

Any suggestions ?

Could be as simple as a dead or dying battery.
