VVT Solenoid and Error Code P0011
I own a 2009 Passat 2.0L. Recently (as in 2 days ago) it started bogging down at intersections. Now it starts extremely rough. I've replaced the spark plugs, coil packs, and cam sensor. None of those helped its ability to run. While at higher speed it runs and will fire fine, it only seems like when I slow, idle, or start the vehicle that it has problems. Where is the VVT Solenoid Located on my engine so that I may test it?

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!
As taken from my new EOBD II Fault Codes Software
VAG Error Code: 16395/000017
EOBD II Error Code: P0011
Fault Location:
Camshaft A (Intake) Left/Front, Bank 1 - Retard Setpoint not Reached (Over-Advanced)
Possible Cause:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)(K83) active.
Power Loss.
Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205) faulty.
Fuel Pump Relay (J17) faulty.
Mechanical Timing not correct, including Chain and/or Belt timing.
Possible Solutions:
Check Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 (N205).
Check Fuel Pump Relay (J17).
Check Mechanical Timing.
Difference between target and actual > 8° CRK and adjustment angle < 2.5° CRK.
Special Notes:
When found in Engine: 4.0l W8.
Check Technical Product Information (TPI) 2010059 Rest of World (RoW).
Check/Replace Oil Sieve in Timing Case (Camshaft Adjuster).
When found in 2008 and newer VW 2.0T engine with a timing chain (example; CCTA and CBFA), please see:
TT 01-15-08 for information about the intake camshaft, adjuster bridge and spool valve.

Free fix? I only want to know the location of the VVT Solenoid on the vehicle, if it even has one.. Thank you, though, for your information and at least pointing me in a better direction than scratching my head at all the possibilities that code could mean.

A 2009 Passat 2.0L is a bit basic. I searched ElsaWin for 2009 Passat 2.0 petrol
Type Code: 3C26M6 Passat 2.0 TFSI Limousine Entry 125, CCTB - 200PS
I've searched for variable nothing shows. I look at the engine spec. All engine codes BZB, CAWA, CAWB, CBFA, CCTA, CCTB, CGYA, CCZA, CCZB, CCZC, CCZD, CDAA and CDAB show Camshaft timing control.
I searched for camshaft timing but it doesn't show anything about a solenoid only how to change the timing chain. There is nothing in electrical only solenoid for the DSG.

R.I.P., Passat.
You were correct on the solenoid. I brought it to a shop and they confirmed that the valves had been bent, so now I'm on the lookout for engines, and someone who can do it the cheapest. Thank you, again, for your responses.
