Wheel Bolt Lengths? Same for steel and alloy?

Hello! My first post!
Just got a used 2015 Jetta. Has 15 inch steel wheels as standard. I can get nice 16 inch x 6.5 width factory alloys used near me.

Do you use the same bolts for both steel and alloys? The reason I ask is that I have a Mercedes C240 and it uses shorter bolts for steel winter tire wheels than for the alloy summer tire wheels.

Thanks all!

I can't tell you of hand, measure them as well as the pitch?

Sure thing, I just posted an intro for myself.

Regarding the bolts, perhaps I am misunderstood. The thickness of the wheel at the bolt holes varies between steel and different allow wheels. The bolts must penetrate a certain depth into the hub, But not too deep as they could then interfere with brakes (as in rear parking brakes) or other components. On both my Mercedes the winter wheels are different thickness than the summer wheels so I need different bolt lengths.
Also, steel and alloy wheels may have different lug seat types, conical or tapered..
