i just got a 99' jetta gl and it all seemed normal on the test drive and all that but when i get it on the highway and im cruising along at 80 mph in 5th gear im reving damn near 4k. is that normal? all the other cars i ever drove never reved so high going 80.

what does your jetta rev at when going 80 in 5th?

 

ya its normal you can still go to 130 miles and hour at 6 g
