What could peel the paint off of a new 2012 Jetta?
Hey there everyone,
I just walked out to my car today to find that the paint on the hood of my car is peeling off. Its also on the side above the wheel well, the grill, and the front fender.
To give you an idea of whatever this stuff was...the plastic case around the license plate is melted from whatever dripped on it.
No exaggeration. Attached a picture or two.
Anyone know what could have done this? It smells like windshield wiper fluid.
Thanks for your help guys.

Welcome to the forum Dave.
I would say someone you have offended is getting their own back, make a list.
Excessive screen wash will effect the paint very slowly but not that quick.
Brake fluid will also fetch paint off but it does take a while.
Paint stripper will do that.
