Timing Belt?

Hey I just picked up a 03 Jetta TDI, its in good shape and just getting everything serviced. I've been told 3 different miles to change the timing belt: 80k, 100k, and 120k... Currently I'm at 91k. Thx.

Hey there I'm pretty sure it's 80k

Yes its 80k so your 20k over due and they do break so get it replaced soon.

I would suggest you join this forum if you want to read the info Volkswagen MK4 VW TDI DIY "how to" index for 1999-2003 Jetta, Golf, and 1998-2003 New beetle

where is a good place to purchase a new timing belt kit for my 2001 Volkswagen Beetle? I'm thinking of replacing it soon, its @120k and never been changed by previous owners.

There are a few good places you can get timing belt kits from:

added comment@ "where would also be a good place to have my timing belt fixed?" Somewhere with a reasonably affordable price?
