temperature control panel lights

Default temperature control panel lights

The lights on my temperature control panel wont come on the rest of the lights come on except the three at the bottom. on my 01 Jetta VR6 and 04 Jetta GLI Anyone know how to fix this or had the same problem??

i have the same type of problem i have an 03 gli and the temp and fuel gaige dont work you just have to get the dash replaced

are all the fuses good? try the sensors, too.

I have changed all the fuses on both cars and still...

well I just never heard it called "temp control panel" but I know what you're talking about. When I turn mine on, the lights sometimes don't come on all the way. So what I do is turn the dial to 1, and then turn back to 0 quickly, kind of jarring the wires lose. If lights don't come on after that, then I just smack it a few times and it works.

If you have the ***** instead of digital ..... this might help .... my friends flickered for a while and finally went out and stayed out ... dunno if this is what youre talking about but ill throw it out there ..

As nice as that is however, my bulb does work you just havve to tap it sometimes to get it to work. Loose bulb I'm thinking.

take the bulb out and dip the contact end in some bulb grease, to keep contact at all times ... should save you some beating on the heat controls
