I left my 96 jetta 2.0 T sitting outside for the winter i came home an tried to start it ... and it wouldnt crank over and after a while the alarm stared to go off i tought it could be the battery and i used a battery pack and still didnt crank over..*** also i left it without any gas the gas tank was empty dry***. can someone help me figure this prob cuz i have no idea what the prob is.. thank you

 

when you say crank do you mean it wont start? or its not even turning over?

 

try a new battery and some gas

 

try turning over the engine by hand just to make sure your block isn't seized up
