shift *****...

i have a 2004 jetta gl and i was wondering a few things about the shift **** and boot...

how do get the **** off?
where is the best place to get a new and boot?

The **** has a cv joint style metal band around it. You can take some small needle nose pliers and bend it to loosen it up. ecstuning.com has some cool shifters and boots.
