A Sad Stock Radio! (98 Jetta)
Hi! I just bought a 1998 Jetta from a family moving to England. (Lucky!) The car is in great condition, but the stock radio doesn't work. The car has a 6 CD changer in the back and the speakers are fine, but for whatever reason the radio isn't getting power. I thought maybe the fuse could have been blown, but I checked it and the fuse was fine. The guy who owned it before isn't sure about when the radio died, or so I think. He has 3 kids and I'm sure he wasn't paying too much attention to the radio anyway.
Do you guys have any ideas as to what could be causing this problem? I would prefer to keep the stock radio because of the changer in the back and I wouldn't mind saving some money. That whole being a poor College kid thing. I know it's only $100 to get something at Best Buy or any other car audio place, but something that would be cost me $20 would be much preferred.
Thanks so much!
