Rumble when turning.....
I was looking into buying a 2000 GLX and noticed that sometimes there is a slight rumble/vibration when turning right. Does anyone have any insight to what could be causing this?

RE: Rumble when turning.....
Sounds like a wheel bearing is gone. The bearing itself is cheap unless you have electronics in the hub, then it's a fortune. Either way, you'll have to replace it, then get an allignment. Take it to a shop, have it diagnosed first. The seller should NOT have an issue with that.

RE: Rumble when turning.....
I have a 99 Jetta and I get whining noise from the rear and it does it from both sides. When I took my car to Midas and had them do the brakes for me, is when I noticed that noise. I also once took it to a shop for an alignment and the guy tried to get me to buy bushings for the rear, he said that they were worn out. I am not sure but it seems like you have to almost always buy OEM parts in order for these VW's to run right.

RE: Rumble when turning.....
It is always a good idea to buy OEM parts... When I had some problem with my VW wheel bearings my dealer warn me (as always) to buy OEM parts instead of aftermarket to prevent complications in some of the other parts of my VW and buying aftermarket could make me end up buying more parts because of the damage it can cause to my VW... Though my friend told me that there is nothing wrong in having aftermarket on some parts of VW, especially you don't have enough money to buy an OEM parts...
