I have a friend with a 2000 Jetta. Randomly this car will not crank/start. Wait 10 minutes try again it fires up. I searched on here and found a few people with the same issue but no resolutions posted. Anyone? There are no MILs and no warning just randomly will not start. Any known issues to check for here? Thanks.

Try taking a look at your ignition coil. My Jetta ran poorly from time to time until I was able to find several hairline cracks on the surface of my coil. After throwing some epoxy glue over the cracked areas, the car runs great.
