purchase extended warranty?
 

I'm purchasing a brand new Volkswagen Jetta TDI and wondering if I should buy an extended warranty. This will be the first Volkswagen I purchase by the way. The standard warranty is 2 yrs/40,000km. I am purchasing under a 60 month term

Do Volkswagen owners recommend purchasing an extended warranty? how often do you claim any warranty for a new vehicle?

So where do you live if your warranty is 2 yrs/40,000km, thats only 25k miles?

The UK warranty is 3 years/60,000 miles.

You can always Google extended warranties.

I had to look at my contract again, its 4yrs/ 80,000km. I don't know why I had 2yrs/40,000km in my head. I'm purchasing my car in Canada.

4 years and 50k miles is that standard in Canada?

yes, the basic limited warranty is 4 yrs / 50k miles and the powertrain warranty is 5 yrs / 62k miles.
