please help!!!!
 

my 2002 jetta 2.0 recently was randomly shutting off while i was driving. i put in a new relay with the number 409 and that problem stopped. a few days later i noticed that when i open the drivers door with the car running it shuts off, and it wont even start with the drivers side door open. if there is anyone outhere that could help me with the very odd problem it would be greatly appreciated

It might be a safety feature, My daughters car will not start with the drivers side door open, although once it has started it will not shut off if you open the door.

at first i thought it may have been a saftey feature too but i relized it had never done it untill i had changed the 409 relay
