Default Oil Viscosity and Brand

What Oil Viscosity and brand is the best to run in the 2.0L engine? It has 117,000 miles on it.

Hard to say....don't know where or what area you live in.
A 4 cyl engine needs a heaver viscosity than a 6 or 8
because it works harder to maintain speeds, ( higher rpms )
in the south no less than 20w-50 , better with straight
30w.Castroil is a good oil along with some others. The more miles the engine has the heaver the viscosity should be. in the north you may have to go to 10w-30 in the
cold season.
