Default OIL SMOKE PROBLEM

Having a problem with my 01 Turbo Jetta

When i am idling its blowing out white smoke. But doesnt do it whenI start it up?

Anybody have a similiar problem? Wanting to know so I can get it fixed on my own hopefully.

Unfortunately you more than likely have a blown head gasket. White smoke is caused by water or antifreeze mixing in with the oil. Mabey someone else has a different idea but that would my my guess.

does it smell like oil or is it moresweet smelling
antifreeze smells kindof sweet

Actually blue smoke would be oil, so it's prolly not oil. White smoke would be anti-freeze....but not always.
