Noice from suspension in Brand New Jetta!
I have a Brand new Jetta, AT done 2000 KMS and i get a rattling noise when the car crosses 50 Kmph in uneven road. Took the car to the service station, but they could not fix it. Service engineer could not find the issue initially, but at my fourth visit, they identified it is a noise from the bearing above the shocks and this is because the bearing is DRY! They greased it and now the sound had reduced considerably, but the sound is still there. Has anyone faced similar issues? any suggestions for resolution? Any advice appreciated!

Without seeing the vehicle its hard to diagnose over the web. Its under warranty keep purging the dealer to get it resolved. |
Bad strut mount? Greasing it won't eliminate the play, if it's loose it should be replaced with something like this: http://www.carpartsdiscount.com/auto...tml?3593=69825

May be problem in the bearing, ask them to use some others jetta suspension bearing and check is there any noise...if no then change the old bearing with new one.
