Default New to the site having numerous problems

Hello,

I have a 98 jetta 2.0. My trans just died and i got it replaced. rebuilt trans, new clutch, new speed sensor. My speedo on my cluster is not working at all. Also, my gas gauge acts up. When i shift from like 1st to 2nd the gas gauge drops and the gas light comes on then goes back to where it should. My ignition was on it's way out before the trans. The guy that did my trans must of beat the **** out of my ignition because when i went to pick the car up after the trans was done the ignition was dead...luckly i had one sitting around since i knew it was on it's way out. Replaced the ignition...thinking that could possibly be the reason why my cluster was acting up. Nope...car starts fine but i still have the same problem. Could he have fried something out while doing the trans?

I am having some electrical issues as well. The PO didn't really take good care of the car. So i am trying to get it back to where it should be.

Question #2 My trunk button stopped working...I believe it's on fuse position #22 along with the cig lighter and radio. I checked it and it was blown. I giggled the relay and fuse box under the kick panel. Now the truck pops open without a 10amp fuse in the slot.

Sorry for the long post....I just need to get these thing fixed.

Thanks in advance

Sheldon

check the big ground wire that goes to one of your bell housing bolts might have left it loose
