Just bought my first VW ever. Nice little car, TDI good for saving $$ - I hope lol..

I am looking at buying some extra rims for the car, the rims that are on the car are 6J X 15.. These existing rims I will be using for winter rims, so I am now looking for some summer alloys.. I have been looking for rims on the net and I see that there are multiple different sizes that are offered 15 \ 16 \ 17 etc.. What will fit properly? Is there a guideline to this?

Also, looking at used - I am reading that any rim that fit certain years (golf \ jetta etc) will also fit 2014 15" jetta, any pointers here also?
