Hey there,

I am planning on buying my second VW, this time a 2000 Jetta GLS, 1.8 l engine

only problem, the sensorlight says (O) .... what does it mean...

does the 2000 modell have a timing belt or timing chain?


can anyone help out ..please...

the 2000 model has a timing belt if your facing your engine look down to your left and its there. fair warning they are a bit*h i just chaged myboys on his 2000 1.8

The sensor is a brake wear indicator, time to change your brakes. Timing depends on what engine, my VR6 has a chain, 1.8T and 2.slows have belts.
