Need help 03 jetta warms start problem
 

Okay, these are the problems that occur when I try to start my car. When I
start me car it won't start the battery light will go on. Not every time I
try to start my car does it not start. The times that is doesn't start is
usually when I have driven it and then it sits for a couple our. Sometimes
if I drive from point A to point B and it is only a matter of minutes that
the car is shut off it will not start. For example: if I do a whole bunch of
errands with in a twenty minute time span every time I leave the place I was
at it will not start.

When I first discovered the problem I thought that the car would not ever be
able to start again unless I fixed it immediately but that same time when it
didn't start I decided to press the gas peddle as I was starting it and it
will slowly go but it will shake and kind of make a putt, putt sound.
Recently we discover that black smoke comes out of the exust pipe. The
battery light is on when ever this happens as well. My engine light has been
on solid for two to three months now.

I have also noticed a sound when the car does decide to start up. It sounds
like a squeaky air sound. almost like belt is loose. I also have noticed a
squeaky sound when the I turn my steering wheel. I also noticed that when I
pump on the gas and the car starts to run the car will idol for a long time
some times at 20rrpm and sometimes 10rpm it will never drop back down to 0. Also
when the car stays idled at 20rpm I turn my squeaky steering wheel and the idol
speed will start to drop.

Please help or give me some ideas
this pretty sums up everything I have noticed about my car hopefully
we can get to the bottom of it.

As far as your engine light, you can download those codes and will tell you what the light is for. I'd have to look at it to tell you more than that, jsut get the engine codes, and it's a great start.
