anybody know of a shop in the Ventura County area that would let me just drive in and have my fault codes pulled via vagcom?

 

I don't know about Ventura county, but most of the major chain automotive stores offer "read only" scan tools that you can use in their parking lot. You most likely have a bad connection or ground at one of the sensors in your EFI system, or a sensor is bad. The scan tool will most likely pick up on where to look.
