My Jetta stalls out randomly! Help!:(
Hey everyone quick presentation, I am new to the forum and just bought my first car back in march and it is a 2003 jetta a car I have always dreamed of having :) however for the past two months I have been having some trouble...
When I bought it the battery was in really bad shape. It was leaking battery acid and was completely swelled up on one side. While the car was running it would turn off at random times as I was driving through traffic! I had the battery replaced a month ago and the problem stopped completely until this morning. My car turns on perfectly well but has gone back to the same problem. It turned off on me twice this morning in the middle of traffic. At first I though it was me not putting it into gear but it was already up to fifth gear and didn't touch the clutch at all before it turned off again. Can someone help me out? Could it be the cables? It is kind of scary because once my car is off my power steering goes bye bye and its hard to control the car. Car details: 2003 VW Jetta GLS 1.8T 5-speed manual Thanks guys :) Annabeth |
Sounds like a bad ground, try cleaning the connectors really good
