Default Monsson Radio Problem

Greetings everyone. I currently own a 02 Jetta 1.8 with the Monsoon radio/cd/tape deck. About 5 days ago I got in and started the car, the radio will turn on BUT there is no sound coming out, not even a hiss through the speakers, it will NOT change stations nor will it change modes, (from radio to tape to cd) if I pplace a cd in the player it will change modes, but still no sound.

I have read the other forums and tried the whole "fuse 43" trick to no avail. Does anyone here have any input? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Well if you can't change channels, or you can't cahnge modes then it would be the deck. If everything worked as advertised, then maybe would be the speakers. Sounds to me like the deck is fried cause it's not working like it should. I kept my old one that came with the 6-disc, so if anyone needs it I can ship it.

You make the offer....it's a 6-disc, but for like $200-$300 you could have like best buy or circuit city install an aftermarket one. So, for like $200 you could have a nice aftermarket one, or for under that you could have the 6-disc........
