I was wondering if someone could help me out. I just got a 2009 Jetta 2.0T 6 speed manual. The MIL light has come on at least 8 times since I got the car and I only have 3000 miles so far. The light usually comes on at night and is gone by the next day around lunch time when I have time to call Volkswagen. The light stays off for a week or so and then comes on again. Same deal, it will be gone soon. The light seems to have an internal clock and loves t come on Saturdays before I am going out for the night.

I experience what appears to be a lowered amount of power.

My last Jetta had the same problem very early on. The light came on around 3-5000 miles and it was an oxygen sensor. The difference this time, however, is the light is going out and not staying on.

Has anyone encountered this with a new Volkswagen? I am just now starting to really get annoyed by this gremlin.
