lowering the chassis????

I have a 2005 Jetta JLI

When lowering the chassis more than 1.4", you must use a diffrent front sway bar then the stock one to accommodate drive shaft cleara nce.??????

dose any one know anything about this?

first, just cuz im a nerd, its GLI, not JLI, but its fine, simple mistake. haha. Now, to the question, yeah, if you lower it too much your axles will run your front sway. You can either get a new front sway bar or get new endlinks for the sway bar that will accomodate for the lowering of the car. What kind of suspension are you looking to get?

i think youd be ok with either but dont quote me. Id suggest going as low as you can, and just get the sway or end links.

check vwvortex and ecstuning, and im sure you can find something that will suit your needs. That way youll have the added benefit of a new FSB with the drop, thatd be nice!
