Hi So glad to have found this site!

I'm eager to hear your input, so I'll get right to it.
I have a 2008 Jetta 4D 2.5L

I'm not a car whiz, by any means, I just LOVE my Jetta, and would like to keep her running smoothly as long as is feasible. She's paid off, and no major issues. But - I have to drive for work, and I'm nearing 200K miles. Everyone and their brother seems to think she's going to crap out on me, and then I'm going to be stranded. I'm not eager to take on a car payment, and also I don't have a garage, so 2 cars seems silly - but - I also don't want to push the car past it's life expectancy.

Any input on add'l upkeep I should be doing, or if it's time to park her and invest in a road car, or anything at all - I appreiciate it!!

Life expectancy of a Jetta is long but your talking about your 2008 Jetta.

Ok! I'll try that and try to find where my post went. I have talked to my mechanic and a few dealerships, I was just looking for the opinion of enthusiasts.
