Default Jetta Purchase

I am also thinking about purchasing a 2004 - 2007 Jetta and like to maintain my own vehicles. How difficult are these vehicles to maintain? (Oil changes, brake jobs, tune ups etc)

most minor things like tune ups and breaks etc... are pretty easy, no harder than other cars at least, but since they are german cars the parts cost a little more and i live by vw's i wouldnt want to drive anything else. but removing/installing cv axles blows no matter what too. So you should get something that suites your needs.

The major drawback is when the car breaks, it's broke-dick!! One thing turns into many things if you don't jump on it and get them fixed. Parts can be kind of expensive, too.
