Thanks Jrailer, Bagel for the info. I got a pre pump for a 86 jetta I figured I try that before getting into the computer part. How do I install the pre pump from the trunk or by dropping the tank. Any info is greatly appreciated. I got a manual but it does not show me anything on the pre pump.I have this car for about 3 years with no major problems it has 115,000.

 

no go in the trunk and lift the carpet up there is a black cover plate with 3 screws pull it off to get to the top of the tank
