Jetta Base Model

I am looking to sell my F150 that is eating way to much gas and get a Jetta. I have heard the jetta can have a few problems but this is mainly due to the electrical components. One way I figure I can skip this problem is by buying a base model jetta. SO my question to you is what model is the base model of the jetta, that has no power windows, power locks, sunroof, etc. Or if the I can even get a base model.

Also overall how would you rate your Jetta in regards to reliability, as well as what is the gas miliage of your car?

Thanks for your help,
Carl

RE: Jetta Base Model

Do a google too find about base model. I have a 95 Jetta. 142,000 miles. Nothing different from any normal car as far as maintenience. Rear Struts and Front wheel bearings i've changed recently. Otherwise i think the car is really built well. I Would rate it very good. I get average of 32 miles per gallon.
