Default Jetta Axle Problem (Newbie)

Hey guys and girls, I recently bought a 1999 Volkswagon Jetta GLS 5spd with the 2.0L in it VIN Code "M".When I bought the car it had a "broken axle" come to find out whenI put the car in the air I noticed the axle was not broken but all the bolts were snapped where it bolts to the transmission. None of the broken ends in the transmission side though.Strange?? I did notice the axle was aftermarket. Well anyways I went to Auto Parts international and purchesed a new axle. I then greesed it and installed it. Now on hardright turns it clicks and binds upat that joint where itmeets the transmission.. .Then Idisassembled it, checked it, and reinstalled it. Now it binds up so bad the wheel will not turn anymore. . Did i install it wrong?
A New axle thats bad?

Idk Forum members Please help me out!![&o]
Thanks,
Eric

The inner cv joint only fits into thecage in one way. It must have a full range of motion inside the cage. It took me about 5 tries to get it right.
