i have a jetta 1800 csi,wilst driving i suddenly realized that my clutch didnt want to work,my peddal was completely soft,and i immediately thought that my clutch cable snapped,i have checked the clutch cable and it is fine,i consulted a mechanic and he said that it might be because a "wishbone" broke,or that a rod has pushed through one of my plates,and if it is the case that my whole gearbox would have to be removed,i would like to request advise from anyone who has had a similliar problem or who has any comments on my current situation. your advise would be greatly appreciated
