Default Jetta 1.4 TSI problems

Hi, I'm looking to buy the new Jetta 1.4TSI (90kw or 122hp version) in Namibia.

Are there any problems with these cars that I should know about? I'm especially concerned about reliability as I will be travelling long distances and the car wil pick up a fairly high mileage in the few years that I plan to keep it.

Regards,

Personally I think your wasting your money with the 1.4 TSI as the Jetta is quite a big car for a 1.4 petrol engine. You would be better of with the 2.0 Jetta TDI 140PS.

I don't know of any problems specifically but I will let you read:

Thanks Keith,

Unfortunately the sulphur content in our diesel in Namibia is quite high, so I have been advised to stay away from the diesel models. I currently drive a 2005 Golf 1.9 TDI, and am very sad that I have to say goodbye to her

Thanks again for the advice...

Lourens
