How to identify a Wolfsburg Edition?

How does one identify a true fourth generation (2000-2005.5) Jetta Wolfsburg Edition? I know that the badges can be obtained, so is there some code in the VIN number, or options that absolutely must be included, or are never included on a genuine Wolfsburg Edition? Thanks.

I have no idea how but, you can try running your VIN and see what happens at bimmerspecialist.com If that doesn't tell you anything you can have your dealer run the VIN for you and they will be able to tell you.
