High beam/low beam and dash lights
 

Hi! I just bought a 2008 rabbit and I have a headlight/dash light question!

How do you drive at night with the low beams and the dashboard lit up? THe only way I can light up my dashboard is when I turn on my high beams it seems...which doesn't seem right. I want to drive with my low beams/DRL at night but with my dashboard lit up so I can see the gauges. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

I hope I'm just not seeing a button or a light gauge somewhere that'll just turn the dash lights on. I noticed there was a dash light dimmer near the steering wheel but that was only activated when the high beams were on :/

Help!! I don't wanna drive at night or early mornings with high beams on in traffic!
