Default Hi quick question

Hey guys and girls! I was wondering if me buying a cold air intake from K&N be a bit too much for my engine? I have a 1.8L Turbo. Would that be too much air getting into the engine? Im afraid that if I have too much air getting into my engine it might cause an internal fire. Any ideas? Should I buy the cold air intake or no? [&:]

theres no such thing as too much air coming in! your engine breathes just like a living hting, so the easier it breathes the better! a k&n or whatever brand you choose cold air would be fine. you may want to consider a short ram intake as well if you havent thought about that one

cold air intakes are for non turbo or supercharged cars. I bought an intake for my car and it sits where a cold air would go and I did notice less turbo lag etc.. but its more of a fresh air intake for the 1.8t so I would say go for it.
