Hi im Jen :)

I WAS the owner of an "old body style" Jetta. 2005 GLi
Recently i got in a car accident, and my Betty is totalled. :( sad right? I know. So my insurance company told me that if i just wanted a check they'd give me 20,000 for it, and if i wanted to salvage it, it would be about 17,000. The engine is fine, and everything under the hood is in great condition, i was rear ended so the back end is pretty damaged, obviously if i was totalled out. Haha. So my question was, do you think i can get more by salvaging the car? or just taking the money? PLEASE help me :(

take the 20k because even if you fix the car for 17k it will be hard to make more than 20 back by selling it with a salvage title

i too got rear ended.....i had to replace my trunk bumper and rear windshield.......what is exactly broken on yours?

take the $$$...salvage wont get you anywhere.
