Default Help with relay 109

I have a 1999 new jetta and want to replace the relay 109 due to car suddenly cutting off while driving- after waiting about twenty minutes it starts up with no problems. I have removed driver panel and found relay 377- and the relay 109 should be directly above, but there is no relay 109- not even a place to plug anything in- is there another area this relay 109 would be? Please help- thank you!

The 109 relay can be in different locations try the fuse/relay box under the bonnet it should be marked 109. These relays do go faulty so keep a spare one in the car.

It would help if we knew the exactly which model you have?

I've had the car since it was new- but I don't remember the exact model- it is a new body style 1999 jetta- 4 doors, it is not disel. I have removed panel and there is no relay that matches my new relay- I only have one spot that doesn't have a relay and my 109 does not fit.
