Default help guyz can i trust the dealership with my tranny???

i'm close to 100k miles on my car and i need o do a transmission fluid change on my car. i have a 2000 jetta 2.0 automatic. i purchased a tranny filter and when i went to buy the fluid at autozone they told me my car required special fluid from the dealership. i called the dealer (more like Stealer!) and they told me that my car required their $35 a liter fluid. they also informed me that my tranny would need 3 liters. they said that i would not be able to pump the new fluid in because you need a "SPECIAL PUMP" to pump it in. labor is like $135 dollars an hour. so tell me guyz is this really true or is it all Bull S#!t. is their anything i can do besides take my car in? can i run something else besides this so kalled "SPECIAL FLUID"? and most importantly can i do it myself?

Than you for yur time and i hope to hear from someone soon.

Danny

99% of the time, you have to go to the dealers with certain items, unless you have a specialized VW shop near you. In Salt Lake City, there's a tuner shop specializing in VW. Those are the best ones to find.
