Default Help?

1998 Volkswagen Jetta 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 170k miles

The car was driving just fine, and then the Check Engine Light came on. Codes P0302 (Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected) and P0506 (Idle Control System RPM Lower than Expected).

The car even drove fine after the light came on. I went to start it today, and it sounds like the car is about to start normally, but it just keeps trying to turn over. No abnormal noises, but it just clunks out if I keep turning the key. Very odd.

Perhaps I need new spark plugs (which could be causing the cylinder misfire, and thus not letting the car start)?

I am hoping it's something that isn't too serious. What do ya think?
