Ok. My girlfriend has to sell her 5-speed Honda Civic and buy an automatic car. Was looking at 3 VW's.... but which is the best/more balsy automatic?

02/03Jetta 1.8t Wolfsburg Edition? 40kmiles
00/01 Jetta VR6?99k miles
or
2002ish GTi 1.8t? 62k miles

Keep in mind its going to be an automatic. I need some answers quick! We're buying within the next day or so.

i'd go with the 01 jetta vr6 fun to drive and more relieble than the turbos

 

well the VR6 with some slight modifications will give you nice ballsy sound

that 03 1.8t wolkfsburg (with a stock 180HP) will bring you big gains with some of the slightest mods. but the older 1.8t's won't bring you as much power gain cause they are a stock 150HP.

so i say, vr6 or go with the 03 1.8t wolfsburg.

and as far as reliablility, if you take care of the turboed car, you dont have to worry about dependability.

 

ok. wolfsburg was sold an hour before we got there. just our luck. Bought a 03 jetta 1.8t with 28k miles on it instead. Thanks for your input guys!
