Default Gonna pull my transmission, any suggestions?

So I've come to the conclusion that my clutch push rod has probably pushed through the clutch thrust plate. To replace it I need to pull the transmission. I've done similar things in auto-class a long while ago, but does anyone have any tips for me? It's a 1996 Jetta with an 020 transmission. Is it possible to support the engine from the bottom? Any places I should remember to grease, seals to replace? Any tips will help. I'm going to replace the entire clutch assembly because It's gonna need it soon anyways. If I don't do this, the car is junk so I figured "Why not?".
