Default GLi ESP system

I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this issue. I have 2003 Jetta GLI with a VR6 engine.
Since I have owned the car since it was new I have had the ESP light malfunction numerous times.
Under warranty they have replaced the "clock spring" in the steering wheel four times and since it went
off warranty they have replaced/fixed the same issue again. That makes five times it has been fixed in tbe
five and a half years I have owned the car. This past week the dealer had the car for 3-4 days and found a voltage
variation in the connectors for the ESP steering wheel system and supposedly found the fix. Well the ESP light
is on again. I would appreciate any suggestions, I think the dealer is stumped at this point as well.
Thanks[&o][&o]

the switch could possibly be broken, cause i have the same car, and the button where you can turn it off might be broken but that only matters if you have ever used it
