got a 2000 jetta gls with the 2.0 and auto transmission.when i drive down freeway, im running 3400 rpms at 75 mph. this is why i am only getting 24-25 mpg. does the jetta not have a 5th gear is there anything i can do to bump the mpg up? thanks

You might want to check into a cold air intake, they help sometimes. Also, check the spark plug gaps and overall condition, wires and such. Bad spark plugs can be the cause of poor fuel mileage. Also other routine maintenance things like fuel filter, air filter, PVC valve, etc. They all add up.
