Fan staying on and kills my battery....

Fan staying on and kills my battery....
Hey there i have a 97 jetta GL, The fan/secondary air system just stays running and I dont know why it wont turn off...anyone else have this issue. Just bought a new battery and i dont want to kill it as it drains the battery down...any suggestions....
